Contest Beat

John Cow, personally one of my favorite blogs, are holding a contest to win US$500 in cold hard cash. All you need to do is write a post, with a couple of linkbacks (of course), that details what you would do with the money if you won, and it needs to be at least 200 words. So here goes:

If I won, I would use some of the money to purchase a paid review for Contest Beat. The rest of it I might spend getting a few backlinks for the site, or possibly even running a contest of our own. Hmmm, this is hard than I thought. Alternatively, I could use the $200 and in effect give it back to John Cow by ordering a paid review through them, but I am certain that I would be getting enough link love from them if I won anyway. Getting a paid review on John Chows blog would be ideal, but then I would need to come up with the additional $200 it costs. How about a heap of web hosting… nah, I already have a dedicated server that runs this blog and a couple of other sites. One thing I know for sure, $200 wouldn’t be nearly enough to get me high enough in the SERPs for making money online. Competition for that term is very intense, and why would I want to. This blog is about entering contests and winning free stuff like iPhones and LCD displays. But I digress… I think I would definitely put the money back into this blog, get to promotion going, increase my technorati rank and get some RSS readers!
