Contest Beat

Yeepage is running his first “dreaded” contest (they are meant to be fun ya know!) and has worked out a pretty cool format. As of the time he posted the contest, the comment count on his blog was 192 and on 20 December, when the contest ends, he will count how many comment they are up to and pay out a cash prize based on that number.

If there are 300 comments it will be $30, 400 comments - $40, and so on. The winner will be decided by seeing who wrote the preceding 100th comment, so for example, if he ends up with 499 comments, the person who wrote the 400th will win.

Plus, as a bonus, he will also be giving away $40 to any random person who does a write up of his contest, just like this one. It just needs to be around 100 words, with a link to his homepage, and also the contest page. Sounds good to me!
