Contest Beat

Here’s an interesting contest being run by Manifesto… they explain it better than I can so I just do a lazy copy and paste for some it:

Manifesto is deeply interested in the work that blogs are doing covering activism related to the wide variety of social justice issues that we face (including environmental, animal welfare, human rights, health care, indigenous rights, civil rights, etc).

In the spirit of engaging bloggers and their readers in their local, physical communities, Manifesto is launching the SoCal Blogger Contest.

We are looking for bloggers who are committed to affecting change in their communities. If you are a concerned blogger, we are looking for you.

To enter, you need to make a post on your blog asking your readers to affect a change in their community, and your efforts must be documents in same way. Once that’s all done then you need to email in the documented efforts (however you did that) for a chance to be in to win.

What could you win? Well, you need to be in Southern California it seems, but you will be selected to appear on the feature length documentary “MANIFESTO: Television”. Check out more details here.
