Get a Free Domain and Some Hosting
I actually blogged about this contest a couple of days ago but the post has mysteriously disappeared - even after a track back and all that was sent! So here we go again 
Top Hosting Center (THC, and not to be confused with the mind altering chemical found in marijuana) are giving away some free hosting what would be ideal for anyone wishing to run their own blog(s). The first place getter will receive a “Top Hosting” plan for one year, plus a free domain registration, while the second and third place getters will win a “Hosting Mega” plan each.
To enter, you need to write an entry on your blog about the importance of owning your own domain. For me, I would have to say: professionalism, flexibility, and branding.
