Post in Some Forums and Maybe Win Some Cash
RolePlayGateway want to get their forums going and what better way to do that than to hold a contest? Up for grabs is over $300 in cash prizes, however right now I only have details on how you can win $275 from that :).
Basically, you need to make as many posts as you can in the 30 days from November 20 to December 20 on the RolePlayGateway forums. However, the posts you make will be scored, so spamming won’t work, and my understanding is that those posts below the minimum score will not be counted as an entry into the contest (you get one entry per post).
If you are interested then check out the details here, and maybe if Remaeus (forum Admin) wants to make a comment here to clarify where the last $25 of the $300 will go; and also how the scoring system and one post/one entry work together that would be good.

We’re giving away random prizes on a lottery basis, and among those prizes are $25 in question. There’s going to be some nice merchandise given away, and even some promotions from other site (which we’re still accepting!).
The algorithm takes into consideration the complexity of the post, and counts metrics like the average number of syllables per word, as well as the average length of a sentence. These preliminary metrics are indexed and combined with the other factors that are used to score a post, creating a final score for each post that falls within a certain range.
We can’t reveal much more, or else we’d be in danger of ruining the contest! This is a revolutionary way of valuing your community members, and I’ve received hundreds of questions about the system already. Perhaps, when the contest is over, we will post more details on how the algorithm works.
