Contest Beat

This post isn’t about a new contest, in fact I am looking for something from you guys - your feedback on the Contest Sponsorship page

As you might know, several times I have invited people/blogs/companies who are willing to sponsor contests the opportunity to be listed in that page. This way, people who are looking to run a contest, but would like to do so with a sponsor, have somewhere they can come, find people who have already expressed an interest in sponsoring a contest, and pitch them their idea.

What I want to know is, is it working? And if it isn’t working, how can I make it more useful to you guys so you will use it? For example, have you pitched an idea to one of the potential sponsor sites listed - did you get a response? Or if you have run a contest with one of the sponsors (TBH I haven’t noticed any), how did it work out?

For me, contests are a fantastic method of promoting your site, and with the availability of sponsors who will help you out, provided they like your idea, there doesn’t seem to be any reason not to have a shot at running one.
